MSC Cruises expands fleet and rolls out 'Best Holiday Ever' summer cruise package
MSC Cruises, operating 23 vessels, announced several new additions to its fleet. The company will introduce the World Class series, with MSC World Asia scheduled for delivery in December 2026 and MSC World Atlantic in November 2027, followed by four more World Class ships between 2029 and 2031 under a €3.5 billion contract with French builder Chantiers de l’Atlantique. In parallel, MSC confirmed an order with German shipyard Meyer Werft for four New Frontier class ships, about 180,000 gt each, the first expected in 2030.
For the summer of 2026, MSC Cruises launched its “Best Holiday Ever” campaign targeting UK and Irish travelers. The promotion offers a £50 low deposit, no‑fuel surcharge, free cruise date changes, and Fly & Cruise packages from multiple UK ports, including Southampton, Belfast, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, London Heathrow and others. The all‑inclusive price covers full‑board dining, entertainment, pools, and family programs, aiming to simplify holiday planning and provide transparent pricing.
The combined fleet expansion and marketing push aims to strengthen MSC’s position in the European cruise market and increase capacity for a range of itineraries over the next decade.
