MSC Cruises reroutes Winter 2027–28 fleet to Mediterranean and Caribbean

MSC Cruises has announced significant deployment changes for the Winter 2027–28 season, shifting its fleet away from the Middle East toward the Western Mediterranean and the South Caribbean.

The MSC World Europa, which was originally scheduled to operate in the Middle East, will now remain in the Western Mediterranean. It will offer seven-night itineraries calling at ports including Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia, Messina, and Valletta. This decision is noted as a proactive response to geopolitical instability in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, the MSC World Asia will be deployed to the South Caribbean for the same period. The ship will offer seven- and 14-night cruises with embarkation in Fort-de-France (Martinique), Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe), and Bridgetown (Barbados), visiting destinations such as Saint Lucia, Grenada, and Antigua and Barbuda.

Existing passengers with bookings affected by these changes are being contacted by the cruise line. Options for those booked on the MSC World Europa in the Middle East include transferring to different sailings or requesting a full refund. Bookings for the MSC World Asia in the Mediterranean and the MSC Meraviglia in the South Caribbean are also being updated.
