MSC launches Afungi Shuttle to support Mozambique LNG sector

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has launched the Afungi Shuttle, a new coastal feeder service designed to support economic and infrastructure growth in northern Mozambique. The service connects Afungi with regional port hubs in Nacala and Maputo.

The shuttle is specifically engineered to facilitate the transport of project cargo for the regional liquefied natural gas (LNG) sector, including heavy machinery, construction materials, and industrial equipment. By integrating these coastal feeder routes into its primary liner network, MSC allows cargo to connect directly with major trade routes serving Asia, Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East.
