MSI announces Z890 Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard

MSI has announced the release of the Z890 Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard, designed for Intel Core Ultra 200S and 200S Plus processors. The product is scheduled to launch in the Japanese market on October 2, 2025, with a retail price of 45,980 Yen (approximately 292 USD).

Built on the Intel Z890 chipset, the ATX motherboard features a 14+1+1+1 phase power design with 55A DrMOS components. It supports up to 256 GB of DDR5 memory, with overclocking capabilities reaching up to DDR5-9200. Connectivity options include a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for graphics cards, a CPU-connected PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 slot, and three additional M.2 slots.

For networking, the board provides 5-GbE Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6E, accompanied by an EZ Wi-Fi antenna that uses a plug-in mechanism. MSI has also integrated EZ DIY features, such as the EZ M.2 Clip II and EZ M.2 Shield Frozr II, to facilitate tool-less installation and cooling of SSDs.
