MSI launches Crosshair A16 HX MLG Edition gaming laptop

MSI has introduced a special global edition of its Crosshair A16 HX gaming notebook, branded as the MLG Edition. The model features a white "Stellar White" chassis with Dragon Princess graphics, a four‑zone RGB backlit keyboard, red rubber feet and a bundle that includes a gaming mouse, headset, mousepad and, in some markets, a collectible figurine.

The laptop is powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor (16 cores, 32 threads) paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with 12 GB of GDDR7 memory. MSI’s OverBoost technology allows the CPU and GPU to draw up to 190 W together. It sports a 16‑inch QHD+ (2560×1600) display with a 240 Hz refresh rate and 100 % DCI‑P3 colour coverage. Cooling is handled by a Cooler Boost system comprising two fans, five heat pipes and four exhaust vents.

Memory can be expanded to 96 GB DDR5, and storage supports PCIe Gen4 and Gen5 SSDs with optional SuperRAID 5. Connectivity includes Wi‑Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, HDMI 2.1, a USB‑C port with DisplayPort and Power Delivery, and Gigabit Ethernet. Configurations and pricing will vary by region, with no official price announced yet.
