MSPO 2026 defense exhibition showcases new military technologies
The 34th International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Kielce, Poland, has showcased significant advancements in military technology. Key highlights include the presentation of a new heavy tracked infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) demonstrator by Huta Stalowa Wola and Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, which is intended to complement the existing Borsuk IFV.
In the unmanned systems sector, Grupa WB unveiled the Gladius 2, a flying-wing strike drone equipped with a Polish-made turbojet engine and a 30 kg warhead. The company also demonstrated the FlyEye drone with the X-Lifter module and the StormRider 550 unmanned maritime unit.
Technological milestones were also noted in the space sector, as the Polish company EYCORE presented the first Earth imagery from its EYCORE-1 satellite, confirming the successful operation of its SAR system in orbit.
International participation was prominent, with Hanwha Aerospace and Hanwha Systems presenting multi-layered air defense and laser weapon technologies. Additionally, Indra exhibited integrated air defense, anti-drone, and electronic warfare systems.
On the policy front, the Polish Ministry of National Defence announced plans to integrate drone operation training into military preparation classes for the 2026-2027 school year to address modern battlefield challenges.
