Móstoles and Chiclana hold free workshops for World Environment Day

The municipality of Móstoles organised a free week of environmental activities from 1 – 6 June to mark World Environment Day. Events at the Centre for Environmental Education in Parque Finca Liana included adult workshops on home remedies for garden care and natural cosmetics, a seed‑exchange bank, a school composting session, and the inauguration of a "Tree of Wishes" for children. Mobile recycling points and a collection of used cooking oil were also set up.

In Chiclana, the VII Environmental Gymkhana took place at Parque de Santa Ana, bringing together more than 500 primary‑school pupils. The one‑hour game‑based activity, part of the town’s ongoing environmental‑education programme, focused on climate‑change awareness and encouraged participants to become "guardians" of local ecosystems such as marshes, salt pans, pine woods and bird habitats.
