Móstoles government defends school investment amid opposition criticism

The People's Party (PP) municipal government in Móstoles has defended its investment in local educational centers following criticism from opposition parties PSOE and Más Madrid. During a municipal plenary session, officials addressed concerns regarding delays in planned school works.

Councilor for Urbanism, Housing, Heritage, and City Maintenance, Sergio Soler, contested claims of mismanagement by comparing current spending to previous administrations. Soler stated that the current government has executed or is executing 9 million euros in investments within three years, contrasting this with the 5 million euros spent over the previous eight years.

Opposition members, including Más Madrid's Sonia Melentuche and PSOE's Susana López Antequera, criticized the lack of foresight and delays in the bidding process. Melentuche noted that some works have not yet begun, affecting families in District 4, while López Antequera suggested that administrative urgency is prioritized for local festivities over school infrastructure.
