Mt. Ararat girls soccer wins season opener against Mt. Blue

In Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference girls soccer, Mt. Ararat defeated Mt. Blue 3-1. Hannah Hunt contributed to the victory by assisting the opening goal by Katherine Therriault and scoring a penalty kick. Makenna Trockman added a third goal for the Eagles to secure the win after Kari Savage scored for Mt. Blue early in the second half.

Soccer: Old Orchard Beach defeated Sacopee Valley 8-0, led by Lexi Sweeney with three goals and two assists. Poland secured a 1-0 win over Lake Region behind a goal from Graceyn Cameri and a shutout by Payton Blake. In boys soccer, Fryeburg Academy beat North Yarmouth Academy 4-2, with Joao de Melo scoring twice.

Field Hockey: Winslow defeated Morse 5-1, with Adriana Lombardi scoring four goals.
