MTA and USTA announce enhanced transit service for US Open

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and the United States Tennis Association (USTA) have announced enhanced transit services to accommodate the expected one million attendees for the US Open.

To support fans traveling to the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, the MTA is providing additional daily trains on subway lines and expanded service on the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR). LIRR service will include added stops at Mets-Willets Point, with CityTicket options offering fares as low as $5 between Manhattan and the venue.

For the duration of the tournament, which includes Fan Week starting August 23 and the main draw from August 30 to September 13, tennis legends Billie Jean King and Patrick McEnroe will provide recorded audio messages to guide riders through various subway stations and platforms.
