MTA restores full service on A, B, C, and D subway lines

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has restored full service on the A, C, B, and D subway lines following emergency repairs in Manhattan. The restoration follows the discovery of cracks underneath the track bed at the 81st Street - Museum of Natural History station during routine weekend track replacement work.

To address the issue, nearly 100 workers operated around the clock from Sunday into Monday evening. The repair process involved filling the affected area with ballast and laying 300 feet of new track. While the work initially caused service disruptions and extended delays into the Monday morning rush hour, full service has now been reinstated.
