MTF Solutions and itnetX to merge to bolster multi-cloud services

Swisscom subsidiaries MTF Solutions and itnetX have announced they will merge on April 1, 2027. This move follows Swisscom's acquisition of the Microsoft partner itnetX in April 2025.

The merger aims to consolidate expertise in private cloud, public cloud, infrastructure, security, and IT services to establish MTF Solutions as a leading Swiss multi-cloud provider. The former itnetX operations will continue as a dedicated Public Cloud Business Unit within MTF Solutions, leveraging specialized knowledge in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, governance, compliance, and AI.

Following the integration, the combined entity will employ more than 300 people. MTF Solutions CEO Florian Meier stated that the unification of competencies will create new opportunities for multi-cloud and AI development. itnetX CEO Nik Fuchs noted that the merger is a consistent evolution following positive market feedback to their expanded service portfolio.
