MTN Elite U-19 Championship fixtures announced

The fixtures for the 2026 MTN Elite Under-19 Championship have been announced. Sponsored by MTN Ghana, the 11-day tournament is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, August 25, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

The competition features promising young players from Ghana’s Second Division and regional football setups. In Group A, the opening match will feature Volta Region against Ashanti Region at 8:00 GMT, followed by defending champions Eastern Region facing Upper West Region at 10:30 GMT. Group B action includes Brong Ahafo Region against Central Region at 13:00 GMT, and Upper East Region against Northern Region in the final fixture of the day.

The championship is a key component of the Ghana Football Association’s youth development and ‘Power to the Youth’ strategy, designed to create pathways from grassroots football to national teams and professional clubs.
