The MTN Foundation is expanding its digital and financial literacy initiatives across Africa. In Uganda, the Internet Bus and Financial Literacy Programme has reached a milestone of over 6,700 trainees. The most recent phase in Kampala graduated 305 participants, focusing on practical skills such as safe internet use and digital productivity to support economic participation in underserved communities.

In Nigeria, the Foundation has launched the eighth phase of its ICT and Business Skills Training Programme, featuring its first female-only cohort. This initiative targets young female micro-business owners aged 18 to 35 in several states, including Abia, Kwara, Gombe, Rivers, Ogun, and Kano. To support business growth, the programme provides ₦100 million in equipment grants, with 100 top performers receiving ₦1 million each to bolster their operations.
