MTN Ghana implements sustainability strategy for 2025–2030

MTN Ghana has announced a sustainability agenda for the 2025–2030 period, focusing on energy conservation, waste reduction, and digitalization. The company’s strategy is built on four pillars: doing for the planet, doing for people, doing it right, and doing it for good.

To reduce its environmental footprint, the company has implemented several internal measures. These include the removal of single-use plastic bottles in favor of flasks, the installation of motion-sensor lighting and sensor-based taps to conserve energy, and a transition to digital processes that has significantly reduced paper usage.

Additionally, MTN Ghana is working to reduce its carbon footprint through the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs). The company has installed EV charging stations at its offices and launched campaigns to help employees acquire electric vehicles, which can be charged at the office at no cost. The company also utilizes electric motorbikes for dispatch riders, with plans to expand this use in the coming years.
