Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns gear up for MTN8 quarter‑finals

Mamelodi Sundowns, recent CAF Champions League winners, will meet Polokwane City at Lucas Moripe Stadium. Their start to the domestic season was delayed after midfielder Jayden Adams died, causing the postponement of their opening league fixture. Defender Aubrey Modiba said the extra preparation time gives Sundowns a tactical edge, especially after studying Polokwane’s recent league win over Richards Bay.

Both matches are scheduled for Saturday, with the tournament providing an early chance for silverware and setting the tone for the rest of the season.
