Mătăsari opens crisis center for adults with disabilities

A new crisis center for adults with disabilities has opened in Mătăsari, Gorj County, after receiving its operating license. The facility has a capacity of 18 people and is designed to provide immediate support, housing, and specialized care for vulnerable adults who find themselves in temporary difficult or risky situations.

The center specifically targets individuals who were under the care of personal assistants but can no longer remain in their living environments due to urgent needs. The Gorj County Council funded the rehabilitation and modernization of the building to ensure safe and dignified conditions for beneficiaries. The project was facilitated by the Mătăsari Local City Hall and Mayor Gheorghe Gaspar, who provided the building free of charge.
