Muş City Stadium modernization nears completion in Turkey
The modernization of Muş City Stadium, a project valued at 88.5 million Turkish Lira (approximately 1.6 million euros), is nearing completion. Supported by the Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports, the renovation has been underway for approximately three months.
Governor Avni Çakır inspected the progress, which includes the installation of a hybrid grass system and under-soil heating to combat the region's harsh winter conditions. These upgrades aim to reduce injury risks for players and maintain pitch quality during freezing temperatures. Additionally, the stadium's lighting infrastructure has been upgraded to a new system featuring three operating modes, designed to meet professional standards for night matches and live television broadcasts.
The improvements also encompass maintenance of the stands and the renewal of the playing surface. Following the completion of these works, the local club Musspor is expected to return to the stadium for home matches, with the next scheduled return date set for November 14.
