Mubarick Masawudu denies involvement in land guard dispute

Mubarick Masawudu, the Deputy Director-General of the Ghana Maritime Authority (GMA), has denied allegations linking him to the use of land guards in a Spintex land dispute. Through his legal representatives at LIMO@LAW, Masawudu stated he is not a party to the dispute and has never instructed, funded, or participated in any land-guard activities.

The law firm characterized the reports as false and a “serious departure” from journalistic standards, noting that the allegations were published without verification or seeking Masawudu’s response. The legal notice demands that the involved media organizations issue an unequivocal retraction and apology with the same prominence as the original reports, and remove the content from digital platforms within seven days. Failure to comply will result in legal action.
