MUBI and Imovision release trailer for Paweł Pawlikowski film

MUBI and Imovision have released a new trailer and alternative poster for ‘A Terra do Meu Pai’ (The Land of My Father), the latest film from director Paweł Pawlikowski. The film follows its world premiere in the Official Competition at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, where Pawlikowski shared the Best Director award.

Set in the summer of 1949 during the Cold War, the story focuses on the relationship between Nobel Prize-winning writer Thomas Mann and his daughter Erika. The narrative follows their journey through a divided Germany, traveling from American-controlled Frankfurt to Soviet-controlled Weimar. The film explores themes of identity, family, and guilt in post-war Europe.

The production is a multi-national collaboration involving MUBI, OUR Films, Extreme Emotions, Nine Hours, Chapter 2, Circle One, and Apocalypso Pictures.
