MUBI Fest 2026 held in São Paulo with free screenings

The fifth edition of MUBI Fest is taking place in São Paulo from September 11 to 13 at the Centro Cultural de São Paulo (CCSP). Due to forecasts of heavy rain and strong winds, the outdoor sessions originally planned for the Jardim Suspenso have been moved to the indoor Sala Jardel Filho.

The festival offers free access to screenings, though attendees must collect tickets at the Sala Jardel Filho one hour before sessions begin, subject to capacity. The program includes films from the Cannes and Berlin festivals, as well as 4K restorations of classics such as Wim Wenders’ ‘Paris, Texas’. Brazilian cinema is also highlighted with works by Cacá Diegues and Eunice Gutman.

In addition to film screenings, the event features discussions with industry professionals, including Renata Magalhães, president of the Academia Brasileira de Cinema, and director Fernando Eimbcke.
