Muccia approves €5.4 million project to rebuild nursing home
The Special Reconstruction Office approved the executive project to demolish and rebuild the Casa di Riposo di Muccia on its original site in via dei Giardini. The €5.426 million scheme will create a modern, seismic‑resistant facility of more than 1,300 m², offering 22 beds – eight for people with disabilities and fourteen for self‑sufficient seniors – and includes advanced fire‑safety systems.
Commissioner Guido Castelli described the approval as a decisive step toward restoring a vital service for the town and the wider Alto Maceratese area after the 2016‑2017 earthquakes. Mayor Stefano Antonelli welcomed the funding, calling it a major milestone for the new administration and a key element of the community’s renewal.
The project is part of the broader effort to reconstruct all earthquake‑damaged buildings in the region, aiming to ensure safety and continuity of essential social‑health services.
