Muchova and Mensik win US Open mixed doubles title

Czech players Karolina Muchova and Jakub Mensik won the US Open mixed doubles title after defeating Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic and Italy’s Flavio Cobolli with a score of 6-3, 1-6, 10-6.

After a fast start in the first set, Bencic and Cobolli rallied in the second set to level the match. However, Mensik’s service and net play proved decisive during the 10-point tie-break. This victory marks the first Grand Slam team trophy for Muchova and Mensik. The pair reached the final after previously overcoming Mirra Andreeva and Andrey Rublev in the semifinals.
