Mudgee Private Rehab placed into liquidation amid missing records and $150k debt
Mudgee Private Rehab, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre operating from the Bombira Estate near Mudgee, New South Wales, ceased trading in August 2025. The business was founded in June 2024 by sole director and shareholder Yasser Nour to provide social assistance services.
Liquidators from O'Brien Palmer Insolvency and Business Advisory, led by Daniel Frisken, reported that the company held only $9 across three Commonwealth Bank accounts at the time of closure and owed a total of $147,720. The debt includes $56,148 to the Australian Taxation Office, $16,867 to the state workers' compensation scheme iCare, and $74,706 to environmental consultancy UMWELT.
The liquidator highlighted extensive missing records, such as financial statements, asset registers, client invoices, contracts, wage records and superannuation statements, and identified signs of insolvent trading from as early as 27 August 2025. The ATO had issued 33 reminder letters, and the last payment made to the tax office was a $600 deposit on the same date.
