Mugello Circuit hosts inaugural Gran Premio Storico d'Italia
The inaugural Gran Premio Storico d'Italia took place at the Mugello Circuit from October 2 to 4, drawing over 60,000 spectators. Organized by HVM Racing in collaboration with Ferrari Corse Clienti and the Automobile Club d’Italia, the event featured nearly 200 historic racing cars and approximately 100 historic Formula 1 single-seaters participating in 18 races.
A central highlight was the “Scuderia Ferrari – Golden Age: 1996-2006” exhibition, celebrating the team's most successful decade. Iconic models ranging from the 1996 F310 to the 2006 248 F1 were driven by former Ferrari pilots, including Eddie Irvine, Gerhard Berger, Giancarlo Fisichella, and Mika Salo. René Arnoux also drove the 1978 Ferrari 312 T3.
Additional competition included the Masters Racing Legends category, featuring Formula 1 cars from the 1966-1985 era with engines from historic teams such as Lotus, Tyrrell, and Williams. Werner D’Ansembourg secured victory in the first race of this category.
