Muhamad Mardiono urges youth to support Indonesian agriculture

Muhamad Mardiono, Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) and Special Envoy for Food Security, has called on the younger generation to remain active in the agricultural sector. During a visit to Pamekasan, East Java, Mardiono emphasized that youth involvement is vital for maintaining agricultural sustainability and strengthening national food sovereignty.

He noted that as an agrarian nation with abundant natural resources, Indonesia should strive for food self-sufficiency rather than relying on imports. Mardiono highlighted that modernizing the sector through youth participation is essential for the nation's dignity and ability to meet contemporary challenges.
