Muhamed Amara discusses absolute and relative sovereignty

Dr. Muhamed Amara discusses the distinction between absolute and relative sovereignty within an Islamic framework. He argues that while divine sovereignty is absolute in creation, judgment, and legislation, human sovereignty is relative.

According to this perspective, humans exercise relative sovereignty through the application of divine judgment to reality, the practice of ijtihad for new matters, and the development of fikh (practical legal provisions) within the framework of Sharia principles. This approach aims to implement Sharia interests and minimize corruption by allowing for diversity in political and legal interpretations while maintaining fundamental divine principles.
