Muhammad Azeem suffers injury during 100m final at Asian Games

Malaysian sprinter Muhammad Azeem Mohd Fahmi suffered muscle cramps during the men's 100m final at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games, finishing eighth with a time of 14.65 seconds. Azeem expressed hope that the injury is not serious, as his participation in the upcoming 4x100m relay and 4x100m mixed relay depends on further medical examinations. His teammates have prepared backup plans, including Pengiran Aidil Auf Hajam, should he be unable to compete.
