Muhammad Nicklos donates four types of tissue to help eight recipients

Muhammad Nicklos Muhammad Nizam, a 22-year-old man, donated four types of tissue following his death, providing hope to at least eight recipients. His donations included eye corneas, heart valves, femoral blood vessels, and skin.

Nicklos passed away on August 12 following a critical brain injury sustained in an accident while returning from work. The donation process took place at Hospital Sungai Buloh, coinciding with World Organ Donation Day. The procedure involved a collaborative effort between Hospital Sungai Buloh, the National Heart Institute (IJN), and various hospital departments, including Ophthalmology and Plastic Surgery.

Hospital staff honored the deceased with a ‘Walk of Honour’ through the hospital wards to the operating theater. The hospital expressed deep appreciation for the cooperation of all medical teams involved in the successful tissue procurement process.
