Muhammadiyah calls for dialogue on national strategic issues

The leadership of Muhammadiyah, an Indonesian Islamic organization, is calling for constructive dialogue regarding several strategic national issues. General Chairman Haedar Nashir emphasized the need for open discussion on the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, the Merah Putih Cooperative, and the Asset Forfeiture Bill to ensure public interests are met and social unity is maintained.

Nashir noted that democracy should not only provide space for differing views but must also foster unity to build the nation. He urged political, religious, and strategic elites to lead by example in maintaining togetherness rather than sharpening differences.

Additionally, Muhammadiyah has launched the logo for its upcoming 114th anniversary and the 2026 Tanwir meeting in Palu, Central Sulawesi. The logo features the moringa leaf, symbolizing simplicity, resilience, and broad insight. The Tanwir meeting is expected to discuss strategic programs for the next 25 years.
