Muhammadiyah Universities Host Student Development Events in Indonesia
The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang (UNIMMA) organized an online webinar titled “Speak, Influence and Shine” to strengthen students’ confidence, personal branding and communication skills for the digital era. The session featured Dr. Rasidi, a UNIMMA lecturer, and was coordinated by the Student Association of Guidance and Counseling (HIMA BK) under the leadership of Iqbal Alamsyah. Participants were encouraged to recognize their potential, improve self‑esteem and apply effective communication across both face‑to‑face and digital platforms.
At Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus), a Thursday morning religious gathering was led by Vice‑Rector I Unimus Prof. Dr. Budi Santosa. He emphasized that a university’s progress must be grounded in Islamic principles, linking the Qur’anic verses Al‑‘Alaq and Ali Imran to the importance of reading, critical thinking and societal benefit. The talk called for research and community service that produce tangible advantages for the public, positioning these values as foundations for a globally competitive campus.
