Muhammed Damar credits Hannover 96 for growth before joining VfL Wolfsburg
Midfielder Muhammed Damar, 22, transferred from TSG Hoffenheim to VfL Wolfsburg for a €5.5 million fee. Damar reflected on his earlier spell at Hannover 96, saying the club helped him mature as a player after a difficult loan period. He highlighted the valuable match experience he gained with Hannover’s U23 team, which he says taught him humility and improved his decision‑making on the pitch. Damar now looks forward to establishing himself as a regular starter at Wolfsburg and aims to become a leading figure in the squad.
He also mentioned that interest from clubs such as RB Salzburg had been discussed, but he chose to continue his career in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg.
