Muhammed Gömük publishes dictionary of FETÖ criminal jargon
Researcher Muhammed Gömük has released the ‘FETÖ Terminology Dictionary’, a work described as the first of its kind in global literature to compile the criminal jargon and specific language used by the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ).
Based on official security reports and court precedents, the dictionary aims to serve as a resource against disinformation efforts by clandestine cells. The work deconstructs the organization's coded language, including terms for safe houses (Gaybubet), secret communication methods via public payphones, and financial transfers.
Key findings in the dictionary include coded terms for funds sent to leadership, such as ‘America Öşrü’ and ‘Kutsal Hoca Payı’. It also details the organization's infiltration of state institutions through roles like ‘Mahrem Hizmet’ and ‘Emniyet İmamı’, managed by ‘Gölge İmam’ figures. Additionally, the book covers psychological tactics including ‘Takiye’ (camouflage) and ‘Sadakat Testi’ (loyalty tests).
