Muhammet Yılmaz delivers 1,300 kg of grapes to soldiers in Şırnak

Muhammet Yılmaz, a 76-year-old resident of the Çivril district in Denizli known as ‘Elmacı Dede’, traveled 1,550 kilometers to deliver 1,300 kilograms of grapes to soldiers in Şırnak.

Yılmaz has a long-standing tradition of bringing apples from his garden to military units participating in various operations. Because the apple season is still approximately 1.5 months away, he chose to bring grapes this time to ensure he did not arrive empty-handed. After a 36-hour journey, he headed toward the 23rd Infantry Division Command to distribute the fruit.

Upon arriving in Şırnak, Yılmaz noted the significant changes and improvements in the region compared to his previous visits during military operations. He expressed his intention to continue visiting military units in Hakkari, Yüksekova, and Çukurca as long as his health permits.
