Muizenberg beach cleanup scheduled for International Coastal Cleanup Day

In observance of International Coastal Cleanup Day, the Two Oceans Aquarium and Visions for Change SA are organizing a beach cleanup at Sunrise Beach in Muizenberg on September 19, 2026.

Volunteers will work to remove marine litter, including plastic bottles, bags, and food wrappers, to prevent waste from entering the marine environment. The event takes place within the False Bay Hope Spot, a region recognized by Mission Blue for its significant marine biodiversity and importance to ocean health.
