Mujeres que Brillan awards celebrates Dominican women

The fifth edition of the ‘Mujeres que Brillan’ awards, part of the Days to Shine 2026 celebrations, recently honored women for their contributions across various industries in the Dominican Republic.

Award recipients included Mónica Varela in the Fashion category for her work in high jewelry using Dominican amber and larimar. Tania Báez received the Reinvention award for her transition from media to wellness mentorship. Diomaris Musa was recognized for Professional Trajectory, noting her long-standing career including her role at Grupo Humano. Venezuelan entertainer Erika de la Vega served as the godmother of the ceremony.
