Mukah man remanded for machete attack on uncle
A 34-year-old fisherman has been detained and remanded for four days following a machete attack in Kampung Litong, Mukah. The victim, a 51-year-old man, sustained injuries to his right ear after being attacked near a riverbank while fishing.
Police recovered a 41-centimeter machete believed to be the weapon used in the incident. The suspect reportedly confessed to the attack, citing a dispute after the victim accused him of drug abuse, although subsequent urine tests for the suspect returned negative results. The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code.
