Mukul Sangma urges Meghalaya government to pass FCRA resolution

Former Chief Minister Dr. Mukul Sangma has called on the Meghalaya government to introduce its own resolution regarding the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA). Sangma stated that the current FCRA regulations pose a significant challenge to Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, and other states in Northeast India.

While the opposition has introduced a resolution on the matter, Sangma suggested that a government-led resolution would be more effective in addressing the concerns of the public. He indicated that he would request the government to bring forward a resolution during a session to properly account for public sentiment.
