Muğla agricultural irrigation project wins international IPMA award

A Muğla-based agricultural irrigation project has received international recognition, winning a Bronze Award at the 35th IPMA Global Project Excellence Awards. The ceremony took place in Hiroshima, Japan.

The project, titled ‘Adapting Agricultural Irrigation in Muğla to Climate Change: Transition to Modern Irrigation Infrastructure’, aims to modernize irrigation systems to increase farmer resilience against climate change and promote water conservation.

Following the award, the project delegation visited Muğla Governor Dr. İdris Akbıyık to present the honor. The Governor congratulated the technical staff and engineers, emphasizing the importance of expanding efficient irrigation infrastructure and protecting the region's water resources to ensure sustainable agricultural development.
