Muğla hosts 11th International ZurnaZen Festival

The 11th International ZurnaZen Festival was held from September 1 to 3 across Menteşe, Milas, and Fethiye. Organized by the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, the event aimed to preserve zurna culture and share its universal melodies with new generations.

The festival featured ten zurna artists, including three international performers from Romania, China, and Azerbaijan, four national artists from various Turkish provinces, and three local artists from Muğla. The program included a panel titled ‘In the Footsteps of Breath: The Universal Journey of the Zurna’ and performances at the newly renovated Prof. Dr. Şadan Gökovalı Open Air Theatre, which drew approximately 3,000 attendees.
