Muğla hosts 5th Traditional Wedding Food Festival

The fifth annual Traditional Muğla Wedding Food Festival has commenced in the historic Arasta district of Menteşe. The event brings together local producers, non-governmental organizations, and international guests to celebrate regional culinary traditions.

Gürkan Tetik, spokesperson for Slow Food Muğla, emphasized the festival's role in preserving cultural heritage and building a bridge between the past and the future. He highlighted the importance of protecting local seeds, producers, and the community's shared culinary memory through the principles of good, clean, and fair food.

Menteşe Mayor Gonca Köksal also addressed the gathering, stressing the critical role of social ownership and civil society initiatives in protecting local values and ensuring they are passed down to future generations.
