Muğla Metropolitan Municipality completes Little Farmers Academy
The Little Farmers Agricultural Academy, organized by the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Department of Agricultural Services, has concluded its four-week training program. Held at the municipality's Local Seed Center starting July 28, the academy aimed to connect children with nature and the production process.
During the program, participants engaged in hands-on activities such as planting vegetable seedlings and flowers. The curriculum also included visits to the Seed Bank to learn about the importance of local seeds and a tour of the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Collection Garden to study various plant uses.
In addition to agricultural training, the academy featured creative workshops including painting, stone painting, and bookmark making to develop fine motor skills and emphasize the importance of reading. The program concluded with participants receiving certificates of participation.
