Muğla Metropolitan Municipality improves student transit in Kötekli

Muğla Metropolitan Municipality has implemented a new transportation route to assist approximately 7,500 students residing in dormitories in the Kötekli neighborhood of the Menteşe district. The adjustment aims to eliminate a difficult 700-800 meter walk that students previously had to undertake to reach public transit stops, a task made harder by the area's steep and sloping terrain.

Under the new plan coordinated by the Transportation Department, bus services will operate continuously from 08:00 to 23:00, providing direct access to various campus locations. Local students expressed relief regarding the change, noting that the steep climbs were particularly challenging after classes or when carrying luggage. Muğla Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Aras stated that the municipality is committed to improving the quality of life for the thousands of students living in the university city.
