Muğla Metropolitan Municipality increases winter support package

Muğla Metropolitan Municipality has increased its 'Black Winter Support' (Kara Kış Desteği) package by 32 percent to 9,000 TL. The initiative aims to help citizens meet basic needs and mitigate the economic impact of rising costs during the winter season.

The support is available once a year to individuals who are already beneficiaries of the Muğla Card social assistance program or those identified as needing one-time social aid. This payment is provided in addition to existing social assistance.

To date, the municipality has provided a total of 40,292,550 TL in support to 12,185 families through this program. Mayor Ahmet Aras stated that the project is intended to strengthen social solidarity and assist family economies during cold weather periods.
