Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University breaks ground on new hospital and faculty buildings

Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University has held a groundbreaking ceremony for two new facilities: the Milas Veterinary Faculty Animal Hospital and a new building for the Faculty of Theology.

The veterinary hospital project, which has been tendered at approximately 239.9 million TL (excluding VAT), will cover 4,793 square meters of closed area. It is expected to be completed within 800 days, with a planned opening date of August 13, 2028. The facility aims to provide practical training for students and enhance diagnostic, treatment, and research capabilities for academics, while serving both livestock and pets in the region.

The Faculty of Theology building is expected to be completed in approximately one year. This new facility will allow the faculty to move out of its shared space with the Faculty of Tourism and establish its own modern educational environment.

During the ceremony, university officials and political representatives called upon the business community and local investors to increase their contributions to education and social development within the city.
