Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University hosts international animal husbandry congress

The 10th International Congress on Pet Breeding, Genetics, and Animal Husbandry (ICABGEH-26) has commenced at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University in Muğla, Turkey. The event is organized in collaboration with Ondokuz Mayıs University, Szeged University in Hungary, and Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University.

Approximately 160 experts are participating through both in-person and online sessions. The congress focuses on themes including animal nutrition, aquaculture, beekeeping, and veterinary sciences. Key topics of discussion involve the genetic preservation of indigenous breeds, efficient breeding models, and herd management strategies resilient to the climate crisis.

Distinguished speakers include representatives from the University of Surrey and the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom, as well as Prof. Dr. Jose Pedro Araujo from the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo in Portugal. Other notable contributors include Prof. Dr. Kürşat Azkur from Kırıkkale University and Prof. Dr. Zeynel Cebeci from Çukurova University.
