Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University students advance national technology projects

Students at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University (MSKÜ) are contributing to Turkey’s National Technology Move through the university’s National Technology Workshop. The facility serves as a development center where students transform theoretical knowledge into value-added projects involving research, development, and prototyping.

University student Emre Cengiz reported that while the Turgut Reis Unmanned Sea Vehicle Team placed sixth in the 2024 TEKNOFEST competition, the team is already preparing for next year. Additionally, a team has reached the finals of the TEKNOFEST Artificial Intelligence Agents competition and is traveling to Kocaeli for jury presentations, aiming for a top-three finish. The university also maintains teams focused on missiles and drones.

Associate Professor Dr. Tuba Baygar, the MSKÜ Technology Competitions Coordinator, stated that the workshop has become a strong local stronghold for the national technology ecosystem, supported by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and TÜBİTAK.
