Muğla Training and Research Hospital physician earns specialist title

Dr. Ezgi Kotro Topan has successfully completed her specialization training at the Muğla Training and Research Hospital within the Department of Pediatrics. Following a successful examination presided over by Professor Dr. Haşim Olgun, she has officially attained the title of specialist physician.

Dr. Topan defended her thesis under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Gülay Can Yılmaz. Her research, titled ‘Evaluation of NGAL and Midkine Levels as Early Indicators of Nephropathy in Children with Type 1 Diabetes; Its Relationship with Glycemic Variability and Blood Pressure’, focused on pediatric endocrinology.

With this achievement, Dr. Topan becomes the 17th specialist from the Department of Pediatrics and the 342nd research assistant physician to receive the specialist title from the institution.
