Mulheres à Obra launches 17th edition in Rio de Janeiro
The Mulheres à Obra project is launching its 17th edition, running from October 31 to December 5 in Rio de Janeiro. Created by Palácio da Ferramenta, the initiative has already impacted over 2,000 women by providing skills in construction and home repair.
The edition begins with the ‘Roda Viva’ event, a free gathering in downtown Rio designed to share stories of female transformation, overcoming challenges, and achieving professional independence. Unlike traditional workshops, this event serves as a space for former students to share their trajectories and teach techniques to others.
In addition to the discussion circles, the program includes specialized workshops such as electric tools with Makita, paints with Coral, and professional fixation with Tekbond. The project aims to empower women to gain autonomy, perform home repairs, or develop new professional careers.
