Mulinum and Mandorla di Avola launch new regional food collaboration

A new agricultural collaboration has been launched between Calabria and Sicily to combine traditional regional products. The partnership brings together Mulinum, an agricultural entity based in San Floro, Calabria, and the Mandorla di Avola Consortium from Sicily.

The initiative features a new product: Pane Brunetto Mulinum with Mandorla di Avola. This product integrates ancient Calabrian grains, processed through organic stone-milling methods, with the renowned Sicilian Avola almond. The project aims to promote local supply chains and create value by connecting two distinct regional excellences.

Stefano Caccavari, founder of Mulinum, noted that the project seeks to innovate the bread-making sector by using territorial identities to build something new. The collaboration was presented by local officials, including the mayors of Avola and San Floro, to highlight the importance of networking between producers and communities to expand market opportunities for local high-quality productions.
